Master level Programs

Faculty of Science and Technology

The Faculty of Science and Technology has a responsibility to provide graduate-level education to ensure academic and research excellence, which the Faculty of Science and Technology has always striven to fulfil. At present, the faculty offers a total of 13 master-level programs.

Master of Science in Organic Farming Management
The Master of Science in Organic Farming is the first project of its kind in Southeast Asia. With an established history spanning over 10 years, the program strives to produce graduates with morals, ethics, knowledge and abilities in research and development as well as business management to promote the development of knowledge and innovations in organic farming and organization and social management innovations, including entrepreneurships. The program also promotes the use of information systems and improvement of the quality of life of small-scale farmers and grass-roots economies of communities to ensure their strength and sustainable self-dependence.

Master of Science in Human Resources Development and Food Product Innovations
The Master of Science in Human Resources Development and Food Product Innovations program originated from collaboration of the Department of Food Science and Technology of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Thammasat University with the Faculty of Human Resources Development of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in the creation of a new strain of courses aimed at turning learners into developers of new product innovations who also possess knowledge and capabilities in conducting research and producing food products while possessing leadership and communication skills, systematic thinking and innovation skills and understanding about human behaviors. The purpose of the program is to create leader-level food innovators for the food processing industry in order to produce food product innovations in line with customer demands and create sustainable value for society.

Master of Science in Mathematics
The Master of Science in Mathematics program, with “outstanding academics, research-orientation, and research integration”, strives to produce academically strong master-level graduates who possess knowledge in mathematics. The program offers a variety of learning subjects divided into five categories, namely,  algebra, analytical mathematics, discrete mathematics, applied mathematics and computational mathematics in order to provide learners with competence in studying and researching knowledge, applying analytical thinking skills and synthesizing knowledge on their own through their program and vast quantities of information currently available in the world of data, which form an essential foundation for further studies and research, to ensure competence in integrating studied knowledge with studies and research in order to successfully solve real-world problems.

The Master of Science in Chemistry program is an international chemistry program aimed at building high-quality master-level graduates who possess knowledge and expertise. Learning contents cover a wide variety of academic knowledge such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, computer chemistry, petrochemicals, polymer chemicals, and industrial chemistry in order to ensure that learners have morals and ethics as well as conscience and experience and abilities in conducting research and developing or creating new sciences and creating technologies in an appropriate and sustainable manner.

Master of Science in Agricultural Technology
The Master of Science in Agricultural Technology offers two subject categories for choosing, namely, plant production technology and livestock production technology. The program emphasizes safe agricultural production in line with international standards and the development of appropriate agricultural technologies in order to create high-quality master-level graduates with knowledge, experience and competence in systematically conducting research and developing agricultural technologies. Research topics cover plant strain improvement, tissue culture, seed technology, crop and herb production, post-harvest technologies, agricultural product packaging, soil and nutrient management, plant pest management, animal feed technologies, animal behaviors, livestock breed improvements, chicken meat and egg quality improvements, etc.

Master of Science in Food Science and Technology
In the Master of Science in Food Science and Technology program, students will learn how to plan research experiments and analyze foods and study subjects to keep up with food sciences and technologies for expansion in occupations as university professors, researchers in public and private organizations, food product analysts and developers, production planners and controllers or workers in organizations involved in setting food standards, etc.
