In the development of the Faculty of Science and Technology and raising its recognition and making it a leading faculty on the international level in learning and research, it is necessary to collaborate with other institutions domestically and abroad. At present, the faculty has signed many memoranda of understanding (MoU) with international institutes in the country and abroad all over Asia, Europe, and America. Moreover, the faculty organizes many foreign relations activities such as projects to invite experts and lecturers from various institutions and organizations for special lectures and to participate in teaching and in research or in advising thesis dissertations. Furthermore, the faculty has projects to organize seminars and meetings on the national and international levels, as well as exchange projects for professors and students to conduct research, receive training, study work and exchange cultures and projects to conduct research and publish works jointly with the teaching staff of the faculty and that of other institutions domestically and abroad.

The PACCON 2020 , or the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2020 was an important conference for the chemistry industry of Thailand. This year, the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Thammasat University co-hosted the event with the Chemical Society of Thailand under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn from 13th to 14th February 2020 at the Impact Forum, Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. The topic was “Chemistry for Catalyzing Sustainability and Prosperity”, and the event was organized in commemoration of Thammasat’s 85th anniversary. Accordingly, chemistry research are to play a part in pushing and expediting the development of the economy in line with the Thailand 4.0 and 20-year national development strategies as well as sustainable global social development. Thus, the event shared knowledge in chemistry and related sciences with academics, researchers and scientists in the public and private sectors in the country and abroad to promote development of the country for prosperity and sustainability. Over 800 domestic and international research by world-leading chemists and research by new-generation, intermediate-generation and old-generation researchers were disseminated at the conference.

KCG Corporation Company Limited Associate Professor Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University; Dr. Wathit Tamawimok, Managing Director, KCG Corporation Company Limited, jointly signed in an agreement granting usage rights to the research titled “Rice Berry Spread Recipe and Production Method” with Associate Professor Dr. Natthathanon Hongwaritthorn, Dead of the Faculty of Science and Technology, administrative team and teaching staff of the Department of Food Science and Technology and researchers attended the event at the Pridi Banomyong Room, Administrative Dome on the 3rd Floor of Thammasat University, Rangsit Center.

Feed Ingredients Trading Business Group (C.P. Group) Company Limited   On 24 February 2020, the Department of Computer Science organized the event titled “Democratizing A.I. – How a computer scientist can help narrow social inequality”. The event was attended by expert lecturers in logistics decision making support systems and agricultural product supply chain from Feed Ingredients Trading Business Group (C.P. Group) Company Limited, who shared knowledge and experience in integrating knowledge in economics, computers and data analysis to develop models for analyzing the supply and demand impacts of agricultural products.

Technological University Dublin, Ireland On 5 November 2019,   Associate Professor Dr.Natthathanon Hongwaritthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Professor Dr. Prapaporn Rattanathamrong, Assistant Dean of Foreign and Public Relations, held a discussion about the possibility of academic collaborations with Mr. Cormac Kavanagh, Senior Education Consultant, Ms. Andrea Ryan, Regional Recruitment Officer, and Ms. Elizabeth McHenry, Manager from the Technical University Dublin, Ireland, at the lounge of the administrative dome building, Thammasat University, Rangsit Center.

AIST Japan  Mr. Yutthana Boonyapalit, and Mr. Siwakorn Suwanchinda, 3rd year students in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program were exchanged to conduct research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) at Tsukuba, Japan, from 10 June to 17 August 2020.
