Doctor Level Programs

Faculty of Science and Technology

The Faculty of Science and Technology has a responsibility to provide graduate-level education to ensure academic and research excellence, which the Faculty of Science and Technology has always striven to fulfil. At present, the faculty offers a total of 9 doctor-level programs along with scholarships, research funding and other funding to support graduate-level students.

Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics (International Program)
At present, the country’s social, economic and educational situations are constantly changing due to rapid economic, political, social, technological and cultural changes taking place as a result of globalization. These changes have resulted in the enhancement of sciences and technologies, which are increasing demand for people who are knowledgeable in theoretical and applied mathematics. Because the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the Faculty of Science and Technology recognizes this demand, the department has launched the Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics to enhance knowledge development capabilities and mathematics capabilities of doctor of philosophy students in line with international standards.

Doctors of philosophy who complete this program can work as professors, researchers, scientists and consultants at academic or business institutions.

Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology and Agriculture
Science and technologies currently play large roles in agriculture, food, health and industry. Due to limited availability of natural resources and intensifying technological competition, it is necessary to continuously develop biotechnology and agricultural knowledge in order to create products and economically-valuable innovations.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology and Agriculture offers individual subject learning and research covering many areas (as described in Research Topics) to provide modern and in-depth knowledge.

Students who complete this program will be able to pursue a variety of occupations such as professors in academic institutions, researchers, innovators, strain improvers, scientists, academics in research institutions in the public sector and industrial sector, biotechnology and agriculture entrepreneurs and project or business consultants.

Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (Bilingual Program)

The program covers learning in social, commercial and industrial computer science seminars, scientific and technological computer science seminars, and research procedures for computer science. Elective subjects cover artificial intelligence, computer architecture, computer graphics and multimedia, computer network systems and operating systems, information systems, programming languages, etc.

Doctor of Philosopher in Food Science and Technology
The program covers learning in food risk analysis, flavor chemistry, advanced meat science, advanced food industrial microbiology, advanced food molecular microbiology, food toxicity, advanced food product research and development, etc.

Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics (International Program)
At present, there are increasing numbers of people who complete master-level programs in statistics and mathematics. While academic institutions offering doctor-level learning in Thailand are limited, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the Faculty of Science and Technology has long served society in producing graduates and master-level graduates and recognizes the needs and requirement to expand statistics knowledge in the doctor level, especially to meet international standards. Thus, this program was created to meet social demands.

Doctors of philosophy who complete this program will be able to pursue occupations in academic institutions and government agencies related to data collection and data analysis or work in private companies or state enterprises or as researchers or statisticians.
